Agnes Scott College Administrative Support Staff Promise Award, December 2019
This award is designed to recognize one outstanding administrative staff member who exhibits exceptional performance, effort and achievement in her/his role and in the achievement of the overall mission and promise of the college.
Criteria: Superior performance: Nominations must explain how the individual has demonstrated superior performance in contributing to the success of college programs, operations or special projects in support of the mission and the promise of Agnes Scott College. Significant singular contribution: Nominations must explain this individual’s role in a key project or task which had a significant impact on the college as a whole. Professional achievement: Nominations must explain any significant contributions the individual has made on her/his profession in the college community or higher education as a whole. This individual is considered a leader among peers.

Making the Difference Award, August 2018
Description: This individual routinely goes above and beyond to provide a student-centered experience for Scotties. This individual takes risks to provide high quality co-curricular experiences for students. The individual further demonstrates a creative use of resources and innovative problem solving. This individual strives consistently to be responsive to the needs of our constituents and align their services and programs with best practices, resulting in increased stakeholders’ satisfaction and retention. This individual intentionally engages students, builds resiliency, and provide students with the skills and tools for personal growth and academic success.
This award was specifically created to honor Dr. Bourassa’s hard work in the Office of Residence Life during a period of high turnover and transitions. This award was created by Vice President and Dean of Students, Karen Goff, and only presented once. Dr. Bourassa accepted the honor at the Student Affairs Retreat in August 2018.

Chemistry Graduate Student Research Symposium Award, October 2015
All full-time graduate students who have attained candidacy in the PhD program (and have not yet defended their thesis) in the School of Chemistry and Biochemistry are encouraged to apply. This event is meant to recognize the outstanding achievements of GT chemistry and biochemistry graduate students.
A committee selects finalists who are then invited to make 20 minute presentations at the Research Symposium. These presentations will be judged by a committee of faculty to determine the award winners.
AAUW American Dissertation Fellowship Recipient, August 2015
American Fellowships, AAUW’s oldest and largest funding program, date back to 1888 and support women scholars who are completing doctoral dissertations, conducting postdoctoral research, or finishing research for publication.
